US Mercedes C-Class to get distinct styling from its Euro counterpart

According to an interview that the CEO of Mercedes USA, Ernst Lieb, gave to Automotive News, the recently unveiled 2008 Mercedes C-Class that�ll be available in the US in September will have distinct styling from its European spouse. Although Lieb didn�t give any specific details he noted that style-wise, the US version of the new C-Class will be more �aggressive� than the Euro edition. As with the BMW 3-Series, the 2008 C-Class won�t get any 4cylinder variants in the US market where it'll be solely available with V6, and later on, V8 engines.

Albeit for different reasons, this isn't the first time that US Mercedes' will receive different styling cues than their Euro bro�s. Most of you probably will remember 70�s and 80�s US Mercedes� like the SEL in the picture on your left with the humongous bumpers and google-type headlamps . Via: Automotive News
